Wayne J. Harris Publishes His Novel Sins of the Angel
Online, September 20, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Wayne J. Harris has published the novel Sins of the Angel through Author House. It is a supernatural thriller of angels, demons, sin and the bible and it is based on the question "What would happen if an angel was placed in a human body?" The story is written with a mix of the light and humorous offset with the dark and satanic. The main character is Gabriel - an angel who has possessed the body of a hellfire and brimstone preacher after he is "murdered". Gabriel has many weaknesses and much of the humour of the book centres on these weaknesses. The dark and satanic strand of the story is based on a fallen angel, Asbeel, and his monks who use the bible to justify the most appalling torture of "sinners" in order to "save their souls".
The story is well written using lyrical passages such as the following which one reviewer compared to a quote from Under Milkwood by Dylan Thomas.
"I entered from the too-bright, seaside summer's day into the cold and humid gloom of the lobby of the Paradise Hotel."
