Centered around the theme of “10 Years After and the Next 10 Years,” the event’s featured keynote speaker, Janet Yellen, Chair, Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System (2014-2018), will comment on the U.S. economy in retrospect and share her thoughts on the future. Dr. Yellen is a Distinguished Fellow in Residence at the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy at the Brookings Institution. From February 2014 to February 2018, under the Obama and Trump Administrations, she served as chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, making history as the first woman to be appointed to that position.

Mr. Begala is a commentator for CNN, where he is part of the political team that has won both an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award. In the 2012 campaign, he was a senior adviser for the pro-Obama Super PAC, making Begala one of the few people to play a critical role in electing two different presidents.
