Weldon L. Haywood's New Book 'Sham and Shel: Book 2' Brings A Romantic Old West Adventure Through A Journey Full Of Surprises

Fulton Books author, Weldon L. Haywood, the sixth sibling of eight, an avid reader and writer, has completed his most recent book "Sham and Shel: Book 2": a captivating fiction about two people who met in unexpected circumstances. Shel, together with her family, was saved by Sham as he killed the outlaws that held their wagon train captive. Throughout this Old West journey comes a budding romance for these two brave hearts.

Haywood shares, "Shamrock 'Sham' Jones had been traveling through the Nevada territory on his way to the Oregon territory. There, he was going to take ownership of a plot of land he had been awarded by the United States government, which was given as compensation for Sham's extraordinary service in the Army as a sniper.

Shelton 'Shel' Johnston along with her father and younger brother and sister had also been traveling the same route ahead of Sham. They were passengers of a wagon train drawn by oxen.

The two had met when Sham came upon the wagon train being attacked by seven outlaws. After killing all the outlaws, Sham was offered the job as wagon master. There was still more than a month remaining before the wagon train would reach its destination.

Sham had decided to decline the offer. Then he met Shel. That meeting changed the course of both their lives. What had begun as a teacher-and-student relationship had quickly evolved into a romance.

Now with their romance protected, Sham, Shel, and her younger siblings (the little ones as they became known) set out on another journey. This one would involve them exploring the vast land plot that would become their new home—the Slash Double S Ranch."

Published by Fulton Books, Weldon L. Haywood's book continues Sham and Shel's adventure and love story in the Old West.

It's no doubt that Haywood's use of descriptive language and dialogues that spark intrigue lets the readers witness realistic human traits of his protagonists.
