Ohio Artist and Caine Team Up to Give Toys to Needy Kids

Hip Hop artist Caine, of Cleveland, OH teams up with a host of artist to provide a toy drive for needy children in Northeast Ohio. Select artist will be performing at the Grog Shop on Sunday Dec. 11th in hopes of donating over 300 toys to needy kids.

Bring a smile to a child's face this holiday season! Double "O" Promotions and hip-hop artist CAINE are teaming up to sponsor the first annual holiday toy drive benefiting needy children in Northeast Ohio. "Caine's Winter Wonderland Toy Drive" and charity event will be held on Sunday Dec. 11th from 8pm-1 am at the Grog Shop located at 2785 Euclid Heights Blvd in Cleveland Heights.

"Its always a good thing to do positive things in the community. I always want to give back whether it's through feeding the needy, cleaning up the community, or raising awareness about issues that are important to me. I remember growing up and not being able to have a lot o f things I wanted so if creating this toy drive will help put a smile on a kid's face, I'm all for it" stated CAINE, founder of the event. "I'm trying to reach out to all of the people not only in the hip-hop community but anybody that can just donate a toy. Stop by and hear some great music. We doing this for the kids."

Caine is no stranger to giving back to the ommunity. Last year, Caine helped to feed over 300 homeless individuals for Thanksgiving by donating turkeys, hams, and chickens to a local food pantry. Caine has also adopted four kindergarten classes at Upson Elementary in Euclid and O.H. Perry in Cleveland this year and will distribute "Muffins and Mittens" to make sure the little ones have warm hands as the days get colder in Cleveland.

Special guest performances by DOC Showstoppaz, Maclyn Lucille, Mz Crazy Tee, Tezo, Big J, Bloc Kartel, Mookie Montonio, Izzrael, Skitso, Microwave Red, Bam, Kid Wrecker, Phenom, DHW Gang, Icealino, CJ Platinum, Chick da Flyest, and Vega. Tickets for the event are $5 with a new toy and $10 general admission.

Sponsors for the event include DJ Ricky Ruckkus of Bring the Rickkus, Antoinette Cartman-Gay of T.E.T. entertainment, Angela Flowers of Making A Difference Consulting, Bottom Line Entertainment, a Cincinnatti based company, Nerve DJ's and a host of other special guests. All new unwrapped toys will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cleveland and elementary children in East Cleveland. All toys will be distributed on Friday Dec. 16th, 2011 at the MLK Civic Center in East Cleveland.

The goal is to collect and distribute at least 300 new, unwrapped toys for children ages 1-17. Gift suggestions include infant toys, action figures, gift cards, remote control toys, dolls, legos and nerf toys, bike, etc. So bring a toy and head over to the Grog Shop and help a needy child this holiday season.
